Welcome to East Tutoring. By engaging our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before booking or attending any tutoring sessions.

 

1. General

  • East Tutoring (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides tutoring services by connecting students with qualified tutors.
     

  • By booking a session, you (“the client”, “student”, or “parent/guardian”) agree to these Terms and Conditions.
     

  • East Tutoring reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Updates will be reflected on our website.
     

 

2. Independent Tutors

  • All tutors engaged through East Tutoring operate as independent contractors, not employees.
     

  • East Tutoring facilitates the connection between tutors and students but does not control how tutors conduct their sessions.
     

  • While we vet all tutors carefully, East Tutoring is not responsible for any loss, issue, or outcome resulting from a tutor’s actions or advice.
     

 

3. Session Conduct

  • Students and tutors are expected to maintain a respectful, safe, and professional environment at all times.
     

  • Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring sessions take place in appropriate and safe settings.
     

  • East Tutoring reserves the right to terminate services if inappropriate or disrespectful behaviour occurs.
     

 

4. Payments

  • Payment must be made on the same day as the tutoring session, unless otherwise agreed in writing by East Tutoring management.
     

  • Sessions are confirmed only once payment has been received or an approved payment arrangement has been made.
     

  • Late or missed payments may result in paused or cancelled services.
     

  • All payments are processed directly through East Tutoring — not through individual tutors.
     

 

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations must be made at least 6 hours before the scheduled session.
     

  • Cancellations made within 6 hours of the session start time may be charged in full.
     

  • All cancellations, rescheduling requests, and refund enquiries are handled exclusively by East Tutoring management, not by tutors.
     

  • East Tutoring reserves the right to refuse refunds or future bookings for repeated last-minute cancellations.
     

 

6. Academic Outcomes

  • East Tutoring and its tutors do not guarantee specific academic results or improvements.
     

  • Tutoring is designed to support and enhance learning, but success depends on individual effort and engagement.
     

 

7. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, East Tutoring is not liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages arising from tutoring sessions, including but not limited to academic performance, scheduling issues, or disputes.
     

  • East Tutoring’s total liability, if any, will not exceed the amount paid for the affected session(s).
     

 

8. Privacy

  • East Tutoring respects your privacy and handles all personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy & Liability Disclaimer.
     

  • Personal information is used solely for communication, scheduling, and matching purposes.
     

 

9. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
     

  • Any disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of the NSW courts.
